Small groups and classes designed to help you follow Jesus
Together we will explore the “upper” and “lower story” of Scripture and the overarching theme of God’s pursuit of a relationship with us and how we repeatedly fail to recognize God’s presence breaking into our world.
We typically begin with a large group introduction and video, before breaking into smaller groups for discussion.
Women of Grace
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

Men of Grace
As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.

What is Stephen Ministry?
Stephen Ministry is grounded in Jesus’ command to love
- Is life more than you can handle alone right now?
- Is your health, your attitude, or your relationships suffering?
- Are you adjusting to a new job, a change in marital status, a serious illness, the death of a loved one, a recent move?
- Would you like to have someone in your life who really cares?
Everyone goes through difficult times. Having someone to care, to listen, to share God’s love with you can help you get through the confusion, stress, or loneliness you may be experiencing.
What is a Stephen Minister?
Stephen Ministers are well-trained and supervised lay caregivers who provide one-to-one, distinctively Christian care to individuals experiencing a crisis or going through a difficult time in life. Each Stephen Minister has completed a minimum of 50 hours of training and regularly attends ongoing training and peer group supervision. They typically have one care receiver at a time (men meeting with men, women with women) and meet with that person on a weekly basis to listen, care, empathize, pray and provide emotional and spiritual support. A caring relationship continues for as long as the care receiver’s need persists.
What does a Stephen Minister Do?
A Stephen Minister gives one-to-one, lay Christian care.
One-to-One: Stephen Ministers meet privately with one care receiver of the same gender.
Lay: Stephen Ministers are trained and supervised lay volunteers, not professional counsellors, therapists, pastors or physicians.
Christian: Stephen Ministers are Christians who
Care: Stephen Ministers care by listening, supporting and encouraging, praying, being dependable and trustworthy, and maintaining confidentiality in their caregiving.
